Chewbacca or Chewy is the Perkinses' huge, black, eight-month-old Labrador dog. He is lovable, but mischievous, has lots of energy, loves visitors, and is a handful when he's on a walk.
Biography[]
In Logan Likes Mary Anne! he ran away from Claudia while she picked up Myriah Perkins from a bus stop. In Claudia and the Great Search, he ate a tray of homemade chocolate chip cookies.
In Dawn and the Older Boy, he was the star of the play that Myriah and James Hobart put on together.
He can work his own hook from his leash loose. Chewy is entered in the BSC pet show and wins the prize for "Strongest Pet" in Jessi and the Dance School Phantom. He is like a Houdini you can't lock him up.
In Snowbound, Chewy briefly went missing during the snowstorm. He was eventually found in the basement after getting accidentally locked in.
