Karen and her little brother Andrew are getting new pet — goldfish! Karen names hers Crystal Light. Andrew's is called Goldfishie. Karen and Andrew love to watch their fish swim around and around.

Summary[]
Karen and Andrew are getting little goldfish for pets. Karen calls her fish Crystal Light, and Andrew calls his fish Goldfishie. Karen ADORES her new fish. But a few weeks later, unfortunately, Crystal Light passes away. This make Karen SO upset that she wears black to school. She even plans a funeral for Crystal Light. But then Morbidda Destiny, whom Karen believes is a witch, steps in and saves the day.

- Continuity includes: On page 51, Karen recalls when Louie Thomas died from Kristy and the Snobs. Natalie plays her violin at the funeral, just like she played at Karen's wedding in Karen's in Love as mentioned on page 64.
- Inconsistencies include: On the cover Karen is wearing her blue glasses which is supposed to be her reading glasses. Her pink ones are her regular use glasses. On page 68, Karen's handwriting it different then it's been written.
- Watson wasn't expecting to pay for an aquarium for the fish.
- David Michael is only a few months older then Karen.
