Continuity
- On pages 1 and 2 Karen recalls her terrible haircut from Karen's Haircut, the fight they had from the same book is mentioned on page 94.
- This is the first time Natalie is mentioned to snort when she cries.
Inconsistencies
- This is the only book where Natalie Springer is mentioned to have a sister on page 34, this is never brought up again.
- Leslie is mentioned to have an older brother on page 76, which is never mentioned again.
