Diana 'Dee' Pike (née Bennett), or Mrs. Pike, is Mallory Pike's mother. She is married to John Pike. Her children include: Mallory, Byron, Adam, Jordan, Vanessa, Nicky, Margo, and Claire Pike.
Biography[]
Dee had her ears pierced when she was twelve which was mentioned in Mallory and the Trouble with Twins.
She once closed the door on Mallory's finger when she was three. After visiting the doctor, she and John took the family out for ice cream in Kristy's Worst Idea.
She has lots of energy, loves kids, hardly ever yells, and is patient, funny, and organized, as described in Dawn and the Impossible Three. She's not a fanatic about house cleaning. She was the first person to know that Buddy Barrett was missing. Dee helped organize the search party for Buddy and called the police when Jordan told her and Dawn what he saw.
Dee and John are tennis nuts and enjoy seeing tennis matches. She once injured her knee playing tennis in Dawn's Wicked Stepsister.
Dee helped take care of Maureen Spencer when she came down with pneumonia in Stacey's Choice.
Dee and John sit down with Mallory to explain that she's been feeling taken advantage of in Mallory on Strike. She and John agree to make a day for Mal to focus on herself. They apologize and try not to do it again.
Job[]
She is a trustee at the public library which was first mentioned in Dawn and the Impossible Three.
She got a job as a temp to help out after Mr. Pike lost his job in Poor Mallory!. She will continue to work once or twice a week. Dee worked as a temporary secretary but only goes to the office when the agency calls.
In Mary Anne in the Middle, she gets a temporary full time job as a sales person in Bellair's department store for the holiday season.
She used to not work prior to the events of Poor Mallory!. However, she did volunteer with Meals on Wheels in Jessi's Secret Language.
