Seth Engle is the husband of Lisa Engle and the stepfather to Karen Brewer and Andrew Brewer. He has two pets (a female dog Midgie and a male cat Rocky) that he had when he married Lisa.

Appearance[]

Seth is tall and has a beard. In Karen's School Picture, Karen mentions that he wears glasses.

Biography[]

He grew up on a farm in Nebraska. At some point he was a camp counselor and used to play the bugle at sun up and sun down as revealed in Karen's Show and Share. He met Lisa when she called him about building some bookcases and other projects in the house. His father died in the book Karen's Grandad.

In Karen's Hurricane Seth built a new bench for Stoneybrook Academy from the old oak tree that stood there. He carved the top of the back with leaves, acorns, birds, and two small squirrels. Seth put a plaque on the back that said that it was presented to Stoneybrook Academy by Ms. Colman's second grade class.

In Karen's Mermaid, he helps Andrew learn how to skim board privately, so he didn't embarrass himself in front of the Pikes.

In Karen's Movie, he orders a TV and VCR from his friend Howard who owns an appliance store. He gets it for his dad to use after he had a heart attack. Seth goes to visit him for a couple of weeks.

Job[]

His carpentry business was in the same building for ten years in downtown Stoneybrook, but had to move in six weeks time in Karen's Unicorn when the rent went up. His new workshop is three blocks from their house. A woman named Ruth runs his office.
