Sharon Schafer-Spier is the mother of Dawn and Jeff and the stepmother to Mary Anne.
She was born in Stoneybrook and then moved to California afer high school where she married Jack Schafer. After Sharon and Jack divorced, Sharon moved back to Stoneybrook with Dawn and Jeff. She dated a man named Trip in book #19 Claudia and the Bad Joke but eventually married her Stoneybrook High School sweetheart Richard Spier. Sharon is a very lovable person but is very absent minded. Sharon, along with her children, is a vegetarian. Her middle name is Emerson and her first last name was Porter.
